Cash Cash

Cash Cash are the guys next door–if your neighbors have throngs of screaming fans rushing airport barricades upon their arrival, radio stations inviting them to play sold out arena shows, and hit singles on their resumes.

The Roseland, N.J. natives (Jean Paul Makhlouf – vocals, Alex Makhlouf – keyboards, Sam Frisch – bass/guitar, and Anthony Villacari – drums) have 15 full U.S. tours under their belt (headlining their own and supporting Metro Station, Boys Like Girls, We The Kings, Kevin Rudolf, the All American Rejects, and the 2009 Vans Warped Tour). Cash Cash didn’t stop at North America–they sold out a 2009 stint in the U.K. with Cobra Starship and were mobbed by fans and press at a 2010 headlining tour in Brazil, where they performed live on MTV Brazil.

“We’ve grown so much as a band and as people touring the world the last few years,” Jean Paul says. “Seeing our fan base grow from literally our bedroom to across the country to all the way overseas in places like Brazil has been one of the most rewarding experiences of our lives.”

The band takes a “do-it-yourself” attitude to the extreme: Cash Cash not only wrote, but also co-produced, recorded, and mixed their full length debut, Take It To The Floor, released by Universal Republic Records. In addition to their own music, Cash Cash also record and remix other artists–their remix of Cobra Starship’s “Good Girls Go Bad” garnered top 40 airplay and an impressive spot on the iTunes chart.

Their talents don’t stop at audio–the band is a brand, and they know how to market. Cash Cash design their own logos, layouts, and merch, interact directly and constantly with fans, and occasionally even cut their own hair (and it looks damn good).

Their hard work pays off. Their first single, “Party In Your Bedroom,” became a staple on top 40, XM and AOL Radio–Kiss FM in Seattle loved it so much that they featured Cash Cash on their sold out Jingle Bell Bash show in 2009.

Cash Cash work hard so they can play hard. The band is pushing the dirty pop envelope in the studio with a more mature sophomore effort. Their latest single, “Red Cup (I Fly Solo),” featuring Lacey Schwimmer of Dancing With The Stars and rapper Spose, is already a hit on college and AOL Radio and earned buzz from the blogs and the ‘bloids–even Us Weekly loved the “pop jam.”

“We can’t wait to get our next album out there so we can get back on the road bringing the party everywhere we go!” Jean Paul enthuses. They’ve already taken the party to three continents–it’s safe to say Cash Cash’s party will conquer the world.
